a little bit about me
I have been exactly where you are right now. Frustrated. Angry. Hurt. Needing guidance. Feeling let down by my school district and the teachers that say they care for my child. The school district is in the business of mass education not individualized. The mass education wasn’t working for my family just like it isn’t working for yours. I sought out help from an advocate. I was even more disappointed because now my district was even more hard to deal with because of who I hired. They admitted during my due process that they didn’t tell me things because they assumed she would.
My daughter has an IEP that we fought for all the way to federal court. My son had a medical 504 for type 1 Diabetes. So, I changed my destiny. I found training and started to I have become a COPPA SEAT trained advocate. We follow a code of ethics that I have sworn by to do right by my kids and families.
